Kyle Kunkler joined EPA in June 2025 as Deputy Assistant Administrator for Pesticides in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention. Kyle most recently served as Senior Director of Government Affairs with the American Soybean Association (ASA), where he managed pesticide, biotechnology, and other policy areas since February 2020. Prior to his time with ASA, Kyle spent three years with the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) overseeing federal government affairs on food, agricultural, energy, and environmental policy. Kyle also previously served on Capitol Hill managing agriculture, environment, and other policy issues in the U.S. House of Representatives. Kyle is a native of Eastern Washington State. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from the College of Idaho.
