Michael Whitmer, Vice President, Center for Food Integrity
Michael Whitmer serves as Vice President at the Center for Food Integrity, and leads initiatives like Growing a Healthier America, that counters misinformation about the food system and builds consumer trust. He guides stakeholders to communicate with a common, values-based and science-informed voice. Drawing on more than 20 years in strategic marketing and communications, Michael designs and executes integrated strategies that deliver clear, measurable results. He consistently works across functions and organizations, uniting coalitions that might not otherwise come together to advance shared objectives.
Previously, Michael led teams as Group Account Director at a national communications agency and directed marketing communications for a major farmer commodity organization. In every role, he uses strategic storytelling to clarify complex issues, support sustainable practices, and drive marketplace success in food and agriculture. Michael earned his MBA from Webster University and lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with his wife and four children.
