Airport

The Charlotte Douglas International Airport services the greater Charlotte area. The distance from the airport to the Charlotte Convention Center is 7.3 miles or roughly 17 minutes by car.

There are many ways to commute from the Airports, including:

• Public transportation: The Charlotte Area Transportation System (CATS) Sprinter Bus (Route 5 - Airport) takes approximately 20-30 minutes from airport to convention center.
• Rideshare: Approved rideshare services, like Uber or Lyft, will take passengers from the airport to the convention center. Rideshare pickup at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport is located on the upper Departures/Ticketing level in the inner lanes, Zones 1-3.
• Rental car: The rental car facility at the airport is located directly across from the main terminal. From baggage claim, proceed to the lower-level walkways that lead across to the Hourly Parking Deck. Follow signs to Level 2 lobby to find the rental car counters.
