The changes in the foundations of international agricultural trade are strongly impacting farmers and ranchers. Increased tariffs on many countries, new trade deals with some trading partners, and continuing strategic competition with others, are altering the agricultural trade landscape. This workshop will consider these changes and how they impact the emerging growth markets for U.S. agriculture. Given our location in California, the workshop will also discuss the frontlines of agricultural trade-port operations, and the various trade policy impacts on this vital element of agricultural product transportation.
