Youth Leadership Program

American Farm Bureau Federation has a unique opportunity for 4-H, FFA, and Jr. MANRRS members! January 24-29, 2025, AFBF will host its 106th Annual Convention and Trade Show at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, and will offer a special program for members of our partnering youth agricultural organizations on Sunday, January 26. This is a great opportunity for students to connect with farmers and ranchers from all across the United States, receive leadership training and learn about various parts of the agriculture industry!

Please note this special program for 4-H, FFA & Jr. MANRRS members will only take place on Sunday, January 26. Registration does not include any activities on Saturday, January 25 and Monday, January 27. The organized youth programming will only take place on Sunday. One chaperone or advisor/club leader per chapter/club will also receive free registration.

Student Program Welcome Session

Overview of the day and kick off the student program. Hear introductions from sponsors, Youth Organization Leaders, and Farm Bureau staff.

9:30 AM-11:00 AM

Convention Opening General Session

Experience the opening session of the 106th AFBF Convention with a keynote address from AFBF President Zippy Duvall.

11:00 AM-12:00 PM

Trade Show & Workshops

Explore the Trade Show and interact with top agriculture industry supporters. Learn from a speaker on the Cultivation Stage.

12:00-1:00 PM

Lunch Break

Lunch will be on your own. Feel free to group together and explore the area!

1:15-2:00 PM

Young Farmers & Ranchers Discussion Meet Sweet 16

Witness competitors from across the country analyze pressing agricultural issues and work together to develop solutions.

2:00-2:45 PM

Farm Bureau Experience Training

Sharpen your leadership and communication skills through exclusive content provided by AFBF trainers, debrief impactful convention moments, and discover additional Farm Bureau opportunities.

Remarks from President Duvall and Panel Discussion: Transitioning into YF&R

Engage with YF&R Leadership and learn how you can find your place in Farm Bureau.

Program Closing
